In the 1960`s Bernie Khan ran the Regal snooker hall for the Kray brothers. In the 1970`s Bernie was one of the East Ends top armed robbers. Together with George Knight, Jimmy Moody and others he carried out a daring raid on   a security van in Banstead Surrey. The gang cut into it with a chainsaw and stole more than £1m.
